Mama Organa

Mama Organa is an eco-friendly social enterprise that combines environmental sustainability with social inclusion. The company is based in Skopje and was established in 2017. Its main focus is on producing natural fertilizers, gardening substrates, and soil improvers by reusing food waste and other organic materials. At the same time, it creates employment opportunities for marginalized single-parent families, particularly single mothers, helping them achieve greater financial independence.

Since its establishment, Mama Organa has actively raised awareness about composting and its positive environmental impact. Over a five-year period, the enterprise collected more than 200 tonnes of biowaste and transformed it into a valuable resource: high-quality compost. This compost serves as the foundation for its range of fertilizers, substrates, and soil improvers, showing how waste can be transformed into useful products rather than ending up in landfills. Its commitment to sustainability also extends to local production and plastic-free products and packaging, supporting the local economy while reducing reliance on fossil-fuel-based plastics.

What makes Mama Organa particularly inspiring is its commitment to social responsibility. By providing employment and financial support to marginalized single-parent families, especially single mothers, the enterprise helps create greater economic stability and social inclusion. It also participates in initiatives supporting young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, demonstrating that its mission goes beyond environmental protection. Through its innovative approach,

Mama Organa proves that environmental responsibility and social impact can go hand in hand. By transforming organic waste into valuable gardening products while empowering vulnerable communities, it offers an inspiring example of how social entrepreneurship can contribute to a greener, more inclusive, and more sustainable future.
