Project report
Between 11th and 15th of October 2023, a three-day European project on countering disinformation took place in Prague, bringing important insights and inspiration to participants from different European countries. The project combined discussions on disinformation issues with cultural and educational activities.
The first day was devoted to welcoming the participants and introducing them to each other and to the main points of the topic. The second day was highlighted by a visit to the Czech Press Office, where participants gained important knowledge about the processes of information verification and the struggle against disinformation in the media industry. The afternoon was devoted to presentations by participants on the current situation with disinformation in their home countries and best practices for combating it. The last day of the project focused on practical tools and strategies to combat disinformation, which concluded with a discussion on future joint efforts and the creation of a network of cooperating organisations and individuals to combat disinformation at European level.
The project was also an opportunity to build relationships and strengthen cooperation between participants and provided valuable insights into the fight against disinformation, which is a key part of defending democracy and social consciousness.
