Project report
From November 5th to 10th, 2024, Platres hosted a transformative project aimed at empowering rural youth with the skills and knowledge needed to drive meaningful change in their communities. The program focused on developing entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, and project management while fostering cultural competence and teamwork.
Participants engaged in hands-on workshops covering business planning, leadership development, and project management techniques. Group activities, such as brainstorming solutions to community challenges and practicing critical thinking, helped solidify these concepts. Interactive games and discussions promoted teamwork and diversity awareness, while visits to local rural businesses provided real-world examples of innovative entrepreneurship.
The project included the following activities:
– Workshops on entrepreneurship, leadership, and project management.
– Field visits to local businesses, showcasing sustainable practices.
– Interactive exercises to strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking.
– A cultural day trip to Limassol, offering a deeper understanding of Cypriot traditions.
The project enhanced participants’ skills, boosted their confidence, and inspired innovative ideas for community development. By combining practical learning with cultural experiences, it prepared rural youth to actively shape the future of their communities.
A key outcome of the project was the development of a Handbook by each country team, compiling all the knowledge and information gained throughout the program. These handbooks serve as valuable resources for implementing community projects and sustaining the impact of this initiative.
