The students were first introduced to the topic and the basic concepts of the issue, such as “disinformation”, “fake news” or “propaganda”. The lecture continued with an introduction of media credibility indicators and a discussion on orientation in the Czech media environment. In the second part of the workshop, the students were immersed in a lively debate over a story illustrating the need for sufficient context when receiving information, and towards the end, they were introduced to the principles of critical thinking, i.e. the aspects that need to be reflected upon in order not to fall prey to false information. Finally, the speakers presented the opportunities of the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programmes.
