Mladoevropani | Young Europeans

The project “Be Informed, Not Disinformed” focuses on combating disinformation and its negative impacts on young people in the Czech Republic. This European Solidarity Corps project is a loose continuation of the BIND project, which took place during 2023. This new project targets high school students in Trutnov, Prague, and Mělník. It offers students practical tools to recognize and confront disinformation.

In today’s era, when young people are exposed to a large amount of information on the internet and social media, the ability to critically evaluate information is crucial. Through lectures and interactive activities, we aim to show young people how to recognize manipulative content and why it’s important to verify facts from multiple independent sources.

Our goal is to contribute to young people’s ability to better understand media, develop a healthy skepticism towards the information they encounter daily, and become more resilient against disinformation campaigns that threaten our society.
