Project report
The third mobility of the Erasmus+ project “Be Informed Not Disinformed” took place from 13 to 17 September 2023 in Zagreb, Croatia. It was attended by participants from 4 countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
The first day of our Erasmus+ project was an exciting start full of various activities to promote networking and team building. We started the day with fun introductory games, breaking the ice and getting to know our colleagues from different parts of Europe.
In the afternoon, we embarked on a city exploration game, navigating the charming streets of our host city, discovering its history and culture while working together to solve clues and complete tasks. It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the local environment and bond with newfound friends.
The second day of our program started with informative sessions with disinformation experts Ivan Tominac from Croatia and Tadeáš Solanský from Zvol si info for the Czech Republic. Subsequently, our research expanded to include Poland and Slovakia, providing valuable insights into the regional nuances of this issue.
Later in the day, we enjoyed a unique experience as we took on the roles of ambassadors, presidents and other influential figures. This engaging exercise allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges these leaders face. The highlight of the day was an engaging simulation of the UN debate on disinformation. This engaging debate strengthened our awareness of the global challenges of disinformation and left us inspired to fight it together.
On the third day we focused on spreading the word about the main topic of the project. Working in groups, we created materials that can be used in social media. We want to show more people what the problem is and what solutions could be taken to prevent misinformation from spreading, and we also try to somehow contribute to a more critical way of thinking about information. The last part of this mobility was the Youthpass certificate ceremony.
